Information We (PPQ.AI) Collect

Service Content

When you use PPQ Whisper, your audio is streamed through our servers and to third-party speech-to-text (STT) and language model (LLM) providers for transcription and cleanup. We do not store your audio or transcribed text on our servers. PPQ Whisper submits API requests to these providers anonymously.

Speech-to-text (Deepgram): Your audio is sent to Deepgram for transcription. Deepgram's data training is off by default for API customers. View their privacy policy for details.

Language models (Cerebras, Groq): The raw transcription is sent to Cerebras or Groq for cleanup. To our knowledge, these providers do not use your data to train new models.

Payment Information

For card payments, we may collect:

  • Email address (for card top-ups only)
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
  • Credit balance and usage details

Crypto Pay-Per-Use

Pay-per-use access can be purchased anonymously with crypto and without creating an account.

Local Storage

Your transcription history, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device in a SQLite database.

Query Metadata

For each transcription request, we collect the following anonymous metadata to improve service quality and identify problems. We do not store IP addresses or any other personally identifiable information.

  • Timestamp of the request
  • Audio duration
  • Language selected
  • STT and LLM model used
  • Country Code of user (helps understand latency issues)
  • Processing time and status
  • App version
  • Error codes

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

STT and LLM Providers

Your audio is sent to Deepgram for speech-to-text (data training is off by default). The transcription is then sent to Cerebras or Groq for cleanup (to our knowledge, these providers do not train on your data). PPQ Whisper submits all API requests anonymously. Payment Processing

Card payments are processed by Stripe and subject to their privacy policy. PPQ Whisper does not store or have access to your credit card details. To request deletion of your payment data held by Stripe, you must contact Stripe directly through their data deletion request page. Crypto payments are processed through our crypto checkout flow.

For California Users (CCPA)

You have the right to know what personal information is collected, delete personal information, and opt-out of the sale of personal information (which we don't do).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and displaying a notice in the PPQ Whisper application.

Your continued use of PPQ Whisper after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
