Your audio is processed sent through our servers and onto cloud providers in real time. It is not stored on our servers after transcription. If you pay with crypto, you can use the service without connecting any personal information — no account, no email, no KYC. PPQ Whisper is available on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It works in any app — just press your hotkey and start talking. Your transcribed text is pasted directly into whatever application is active, whether that's ChatGPT, Slack, Google Docs, VS Code, or anything else.

PPQ Whisper supports transcription in dozens of languages and accents through our cloud processing pipeline. English has the highest accuracy, but most major world languages are well supported. Auto detect is also an option!

PPQ Whisper uses cloud-based processing for both STT and LLM calls. Cloud models currently deliver the best accuracy, speed, and hardware compatibility. Your audio is sent to our servers, transcribed in real time, and is returned instantly. We do not retain audio after processing. There are some increasingly good local STT models out there, and we will look into them when their quality and compatibility is up to par.

After installing PPQ Whisper, open the app settings to choose your preferred hotkey. The default is the globe key on macOS. You can change it to any key combination that works for your workflow.

When you press your hotkey, PPQ Whisper records your audio and streams it to our cloud provider where a speech-to-text (STT) model transcribes it in real time. The raw transcription is then passed through a large language model (LLM) that cleans up filler words, fixes grammar, and formats the text naturally. The polished result is sent back and pasted into your active app — the whole process takes just a couple of seconds.
